What is it?

Cerakote is a Polymer-Ceramic Composite coating that can be applied to metals, plastics, polymers and wood. It was developed for performance applications, including the firearm, knife, and tool industries. We are proud to partner with Cerakote to provide the most durable and vibrant color selection for jewelry.

Unique Characteristics

Cerakote finishes have better performance and reliability than other conventional finishes, outperforming other coatings in both laboratory settings and real-world applications.

The unique formulation used for Cerakote ceramic coating enhances a number of physical performance properties including wear, corrosion and chemical resistance and impact strength.

Technical Details

Cerakote also has remarkable heat tolerance, durability and hardness. It keeps its coloring in temperatures as high as 250° Fahrenheit. Cerakote is rated 9h hardness, which is the highest hardness rating that can be achieved for color coatings. It is also incredibly durable, able to withstand 160 in-lbs of impact with no coating loss.

CUSTOMIZATION & PERSONALIZATION

Cerakote can be applied to the inside sleeves of rings and on rings with grooves and recessed patterns. Cerakote cannot be applied to the outside surface of rings or on any area that takes wear. Choose from any one of our popular styles or design your own Cerakote ring with our Lashbrook Builder.

Cleaning: Rings with Cerakote need no special care care. Cerakote can be cleaned with regular jewelry cleaner, steam or ultrasonic (refurbishment).

Does Cerakote come off?

Any kind of coating can be “scratched” away, however, when applied to the grooves, recesses, and insides of rings, the coating is well protected. Cerakote is extremely durable and will not simply come off or wear away.

Can we make custom colors?
